Meteorite Lands in Morocco

It’s been reported today that a meteorite landed in a farmer’s field in Morocco.  The meteorite was mostly made of ice so the farmer decided to put it in his freezer.

It’s was even reported on TV in Morocco and Euronews.com

But, just because something falls from the sky doesn’t mean it’s from space !!

The so called meteorite was actually a big ice ball otherwise know as a super-sized hailstone. You can read more about these hailstones here

The Theme Tune from The Sky at Night

I was just thinking about Patrick Moore today who passed away a few weeks ago on December 9th so I went in search on the theme tune from the program The Sky at Night. For many years I watch Patrick present this program and his distinctive voice simply saying “Good Evening”

The theme tune is from the first movement from Pelléas et Mélisande,’ At the Castle Gate’ by Sibelius
